Terms & Conditions

By browsing or using Talbot County Released Inmates, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

This privately owned site has no affiliation with Talbot County, any sheriff, jail, court, corrections agency, or other government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or another FCRA-covered service. The site is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency. It only helps visitors locate inmate and jail-record resources in Talbot County and Maryland.

Nature of the Site

Talbot County Released Inmates is a private reference resource. It keeps no official records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a request or court paper for a visitor.

The pages point toward Talbot County detention and release-record sources, Maryland government portals, federal locators, and outside research tools. The agency that created a record remains responsible for its official content.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming others or the service.

  • Do not violate any applicable law.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another FCRA-covered decision.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools.
  • Do not disrupt access for other visitors.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

Talbot County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not supply background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. By using these pages, you agree not to apply their information to:

  • Hiring, firing, or another employment decision
  • Tenant selection or any housing decision
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance premiums
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Links to Other Services

The site links to county release-record information, corrections and sheriff pages, court portals, legal resources, federal locators, and outside search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control a destination’s content, privacy practices, data handling, availability, or terms, which visitors should review for themselves.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent allowed by law, no warranty is made that:

  • Information is accurate, complete, or current
  • The service will always be available without interruption
  • The site is free from every error, bug, or security weakness
  • A partner search will return every relevant result

Custody status and government records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Talbot County Corrections, the Sheriff’s Office, a court, DPSCS, or another agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent Maryland law permits, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access to, use of, or reliance on the site or a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service or your breach of these terms.

Ownership of Materials

Text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Talbot County Released Inmates or its content partners unless stated otherwise. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or modified without written permission, apart from uses allowed by law.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page.

Suspension of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Maryland Governing Law

Maryland law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Maryland.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected language will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
